Flagship Projects |
- Within the NATO framework, I worked at ACT in a smart defense project focused on the logistics of defense planning, with the aim of influencing national defense planning processes and to bring NATo members’ operational efforts in sync. The project, Operations Chain Logistics Management (OLCM) is designed to become a NATO capability facilitating the Alliance’s commander oversight of all NATO logistics in the theatre and thus make the operation’s planning process more efficient, while significantly decreasing the members’ financial costs. Working on OLCM and land-based force planning, I gained extensive knowledge of NATO military requirements and NDPP. One of my main responsibilities was to assess the Alliance’s general requirements against the corresponding national capabilities and influence the national prioritization of these in favor of NATO policies and capabilities.
- As an adviser on Euro-Atlantic defense to the Romanian Presidential Administration I acquired in depth understanding of the national planning process and was directly involved in the formulation of the Romanian military planning and defense strategy. I have contributed with several initiatives to the national procurement strategy and had as a main responsibility the harmonization of political planning and military requirements.
- Both my BA and my MA thesis focused on Romania's participation in international missions and on the national motivation to participate before, respectively after its EU- and NATO integration.
