"Managing IBC’s International Operations (with a budget of approximately 3 million USD) in PAKISTAN, BANGLADESH, MYANMAR, and SYRIA, as IBC - International Blue Crescent Relief and Development Foundation - Managing the work of the country offices and their programmes (Pakistan – after the 2005 earthquake, in Kashmir; Bangladesh – after the Cyclone Sidr in November 2007; Myanmar – after the Cyclone Nargis in May 2008; Syria – for the Iraqi refugees in 2008-2009; Palestine – after the January 2009 war in Gaza): Conducting assessments, evaluation and reporting; Programme planning, elaborating projects proposals and fundraising; Establishing networks, managing international partnerships; Stakeholder coordination and donor liaison; Organisational representation and research and development at the international level;

As Programme Manager / Head of Mission to Pakistan of IBC - International Blue Crescent Relief and Development Foundation - Management of Programmes supported by the following DONORS: Malteser International (with funds from ECHO, the German Foreign Office, Caritas etc.), UMCOR – United Methodist Committee on Relief, AJDC – American Joint Distribution Committee, UN-Habitat, Trocaire Ireland etc.: Conducting assessments, dealing with all related stakeholders, projects / contracts negotiations with the Pakistani and Kashmiri Governments; Coordination meetings, fund raising, donors negotiation, management of allocated funds and human resources, reporting; Coordinating earthquake emergency relief projects, training programs and managing the reconstruction of rural housing, health and educational facilities in the mountain area of the Pakistani Kashmir region; Direct management of the following projects: Distribution of food and non-food items; Provision of shelter and basic survival non-food items to families in the high-up villages; Village Rehabilitation (road-making, housing construction support, playgrounds, water and sanitation etc.); Winter Relief Distribution for vulnerable households; Landslide Victims Support; Safe Building Training and Technical Assistance for Rural Housing Reconstruction in 39 villages; Construction of earthquake safe houses for the most vulnerable; Reconstruction of Basic Health Units; Reconstruction of Primary Schools; Reconstruction of Community Centers; Vocational training for women etc.

As Projects Manager / Head of Mission to Bam - Iran of International Blue Crescent Relief and Development Foundation: Coordinating with all related stakeholders in Iran, coordinating with and monitoring the local implementing partner NGOs, fundraising, reporting; Overall Iran programme management; Coordinating earthquake emergency activities, food distribution; Managing 5 temporary camps (containers) for internally displaced people (850 families); Managing 8 Children’s Psycho-Social Intervention Centers and 5 Laundry rooms; Managing “Neighbourhood Rehabilitation” - Community Participation Project and the “Safe Building Training” Program (introduced technology from the Auroville Earth Institute in India on interlocking compressed earthen bricks, training for builders, demo-houses) etc.; Organising training sessions on disaster preparedness and management for the Iranian authorities (both in Turkey and Iran);
