We worked over the years with a significant number of children from socially needy families. We did therefore yearly a research to evaluate the income, living conditions, health issues, level of education of these families, the results being published on our web page and in our Annual Reports. We also participated in a research funded by Terre des Hommes that was transformed into a guide for the prevention of migration dangers, especially for children and young people in Oas region. Another research was about inclusive schools, a comparison between Romania, Mexico, Argentina and Slovakia.

Experience in EU funded projects Yes

Our strategic project funded through POSDRU was intended to prevent early school leaving, helping children improve their school result and stimulating their interest and motivation for visiting school. This was done in three district (Cluj, Bihor and Alba) in partnership with School Inspectorates and schools, under the form of day care where children would be assisted by social workers, psychologists, socio - pedagogs, teachers to prepare homework, recover lacks in knowledge, participate in personal development activities and pass the school year, hoping that they will graduate the compulsory 10 grades.

Experience in international projects Yes
If the answer to the previous question is Yes, please give some details.

"We have worked with Italian organisations on the subject of migrating children coming from the region of Oas, which is in two districts, Satu Mare and Maramures. The aim was t prevent child migration or at least prevent the abuses related to child migration.
We have international experience due to the fact that our founder, a British organisation, worked also in Africa, Asia and South America, regular visits to these regions being organised in the past and procedures, principles common to the international level.
More recently, a SOROS founded project allowed us to work with partners from Argentina, Mexico and Slovakia on the topic of incusive schools, discovering how the international, accepted definition is put into practice in individual schools and countries."

International partnerships Yes
Flagship products / Best practices:

"We run day care centres that assess the needs and develop starting from this intervention plans to help children finish the compulsory school. The centres involve the parents, the school, siblings and extended family in the intervention, using community resources in doing so. The solutions are as complex as the problem is and the diversity of difficulties determine the complexity of intervention.
As best practice I would also mention the Annual Report that was produced yearly since the year 2000."
